Glassfields, Bristol
Following a presentation of our outline design proposals, we were selected by Ginkgo Projects to design and make public artworks and seating for the Glassfields development in central Bristol.
We drew on the various historical uses of the site and it’s surrounding Bristol Byzantine architecture to design a series of indoor seating objects for the new Distillery Building. We carefully made these in a mixture of sheet copper and premium Beech plywood, with a striking geometric pattern we developed engraved onto various copper elements.
We were thrilled to also be appointed to design building signage for the Distillery, and working in collaboration with BD Landscape Architects, design and make several sets of outdoor seating for the adjacent meanwhile landscape.
